This TV interview explains what we do:

The Boko Haram Crisis

The Boko Haram conflict in West Africa has resulted in widespread displacement and a deep humanitarian crisis. Since start of the conflict in 2009, nearly 30,000 people have been killed (more civilians than in Iraq and Syria combined). Thousands of women and girls abducted and children drafted as so-called “suicide” bombers into the insurgency. The United Nations Council for Refugees estimates that forced displacement from has resulted in over 2 million internally displaced people (IDP), refugees of whom 50% are children. The IDPs, many of whom are suffering from the effects of trauma, are located in overcrowded IDP refugee camps and informal communities under inadequate living conditions, and with little or no resources and basic services under huge strain.
